Along with hot season comes the annual water
festival and Thai New Year celebrations, also
known
as “Songkhran.” The city of Chiang
Mai was transformed into a temporary war zone
as residents
and tourists alike, engaged in massive water
fights centered around the city’s ancient
moat.
Brent ventured into the fray and captured the
fun on film. Click here to view a selection
of his
photos from the festival:

Karin had the opportunity to interview Dr. Mauro
Schechter, a renowned HIV/AIDS researcher and
physician
based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Dr. Schechter
is one of the co-chairs for the 3rd IAS Conference
on Pathogenesis and Treatment which will be
held in Rio de Janeiro this July. The interview
will appear in IATEC Update, the magazine of
the International Antiviral Therapy Evaluation
Center in Amsterdam.

Brent has been working as the assistant photographer
with famed resort and spa photographer, Luca
Invernizzi Tettoni. With over 80 coffee-table
book titles published, Luca has hired Brent
to help
him photograph his most recent five book projects
in Thailand.
The Reebok company is added to the MadisonImages
client list. Reebok used Brent’s environmental
portrait of a young human rights activist working
with women refugees from Burma, for
their Reebok Human Right’s Award 2005
campaign.
